• sailing "Mud to Mud": rather than tacking with the wind shifts up wind, you simply sail until you hit bottom, tack, and repeat. Not the preferred method of getting to the windward mark. Often used to make fun of that guy in back with his hand on that tiller thingy.

    Use: "Are you thinking about taking that header, or are we sailing mud to mud?"

    I don't think the mud in these rivers is any good. At least is smells pretty bad. What about ducks? Are you talking about scaring waterfowl with your shotgun?
