I have always wanted to sail on one of these boats, how would one go about it? I will be in Oxford 8/13-8/14/2011 if anyone needed an able bodied sailor.

Come on ye squelchies, primaries, shemarys, foremen, jib drivers (and Jib), bailers, faux-sailors, and wannabe Vlad the Impalers. Gather, ye Corbins, Tads, Johnson&Johnsons and all even those ubiquitous friends we all know who annually renew their aching desire to crew on a log canoe -- yet when put on the spot come up with excuses like "my sister has gingivitis" (thanks, Owen).

Tell everyone you know. Let's get these forums fired up once more.

I just spent an hour or so rereading a bunch of the old discussions on these forums, back when they had that newly varnished board smell -- and there is some classic reading within.

Let's try to get the word out to all involved in loggery to participate anew.

Hello,

Anyone looking for crew? I am a CBMM member and am looking to crew on a log canoe. I have over 15 years of boating and sailing experience to include vessels such as: J/22’s, J/24’s, J/35’s, Navy 44's, and others (nuclear powered submarine). I have experience trimming jib, main, spinnaker, as well as helm.

If you know of, or have any contact information, of a log canoe team looking for crew, I would really appreciate your help. I live in Queenstown, MD.

Thank you.

Boo-yah! Way to go Heel. The pig boat's got nothing on the power of Silver Heel (especially when I take myself out of the picture!).

Well, that's a little seizure-inducing. I feel transfixed by it's shinny sparkles, and not in a good way! The cutesy factor is a little high too.

But Yes, HBD.
